The purple color intensifies as the temperature decreases. As with most Asian greens they can be eaten raw and only need very light cooking for best results. They are all great with a garlic sauce no matter how they are cooked. The seeds can be sown anywhere in Australia at any time of the year. They mature within 3-5 weeks. Plant seeds 0.5-1.0 cm deep, 5-10cm apart and thin for cooking as they grow larger. For a continuous supply plant in succession as they mature very quickly.
