The Lebanese is a short, dark green, sweet, crisp fleshed cucumber. It has a strong firm but thin skin which can be quite easily digested. The fruit is most flavorful when it is 15-20cm long. Lebanese cucumbers are great for pickling and slicing raw. It does best on some sort of trellis for support.

The Lebanese is a short, dark green, sweet, crisp fleshed cucumber. It has a strong firm but thin skin which can be quite easily digested. The fruit is most flavorful when it is 15-20cm long. Lebanese cucumbers are great for pickling and slicing raw.

It does best on some sort of trellis for support. The plants prefer to grow in full sun for most of the day and they cope with heat very well. Their inside flesh is apt to be 6C cooler than their skin. The seeds should be sown 1-1.5cm deep 40-50cm apart in rows 1-1.5m apart. Sow the seeds from October to January in Cool and Temperate areas. From August to March in the Subtropics and March to September in the Tropics
