MIZUNA - CRIMSON TIDE

Mizuna is the best know of the brassica salad greens. Extremely rapid growth with juicy, mild flavoured leaves, especially when young. Best cut as a salad vegetable after reaching a height of 25cm above ground level. Mizuna looks attractive and has a ragged appearance but tastes superb. This variety is wonderfully attractive in salads, stir fries and lightly cooked dishes. Excellent for container gardening as leaves from the side of the plant can be harvested only 3 weeks after planting. Direct sow seeds into a well fertilised garden bed that is slightly raised. Plant seed ).5-1 cm deep from Spring to Mid Autumn. Cover them lightly with soil and keep moist. Space the rows approx 20-25cm apart and thin seedlings to approx. 5-10cm apart. Liquid fertilise to enhance the plant.
