Brassica oleracea, Botrytis group

This classic Italian broccoli originates from the Calabria region. It is easy to grow and produces a medium to large central head, followed by smaller side shoots once the main head is harvested.

Plants grow to around 70–75 cm tall with blue-green leaves.

Harvest the central head first, then pick side shoots regularly to encourage continued production.

Broccoli is valued for its nutritional profile, including compounds associated with supporting overall health.

For best eating quality, avoid overcooking.
